“ Situated a bit further away from the Simpang Ampat Highway Tol Exit, the restaurant is on a hill side with ample parking space. The short steep climb up the stairs might be a challenge but well worth it. The food is delicious. Authentic Negeri Sembilan lomak gravy with the yellowish colour and spicy to match. There are assorted dishes and side dishes available from meet, squid and fishes to local vegies and chilies! The taste is quite unique to the sweet and spicyness of Negeri Sembilan dishes. The atmosphere is great with Malay village cultural decoration and easy to use trolleys for customers to use when selecting dishes. Very systematic self service and payment. The workers were also very helpful and cleans up the area frequently which helps with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Live nusking music was available and it was quite an experience eating traditional Malay food and listening to 90s Malay song. Toilets and praying are also available. All in all, a great restaurant to dine in. Highly recommended! ”

“ Great atmosphere if you come early. Food - great, sambal gesek really nice, spicy cili kampung, variety of dishes, lomak, asam podeh, sambal, ayam udang ketam. Reasonable price. Rice portion not that bad. Definitely will return. ”

“ I don't know, apart from the strategic location, facilities and decorations, I feel the restaurant is just average. The food is just okay, the price is a bit high for some items and the masak lemak is not really as spicy as other places, the squid is a bit hanyir. The portion is just fair. More of a hype and place for convoi. We came in the evening during weekends and there were a lot of customers at that time. Need to queue for numbers and wait for a table which takes quite some time. It's a good and systematic approach to cater to a lot of people at one time. The surroundings are cool, the restaurant is clean, and the prayer room is provided. The service is okay not that bad. The environment is great, kid friendly, suitable to bring families and friends for big events. There is also a busker. If you plan to come here make sure to arrange your time to assure you not to come during peak hour. Even the restaurant had a huge amount of parking and a table but still wasn't enough. ”

“ If you're looking for a spot to experience authentic Masak Lomak and salai dishes, this restaurant is a must-visit — especially for first-timers wanting to try a variety of N9 cuisine in one go. They serve a wide range of Masak Lomak variations with different proteins like itik salai, daging salai, ayam daun kayu, siput sedut, and even ikan patin. All dishes are served IKEA-style — meaning pre-portioned in bowls with fixed prices, so you pick what you want, tray it up, and pay later at the counter. The ikan patin masak lomak was a standout, generous in portion and well worth the price. The Masak Lomak dishes overall had a very rich, creamy santan base, but they were slightly mild in spice. I assume the owner kept the spice level family-friendly, so it’s suitable for all ages. Apart from the traditional dishes, there are also plenty of side options like sotong goreng tepung (surprisingly my favourite here!), ikan bakar, fried snacks (getuk ubi, jemput-jemput), soups (ayam, ekor), and even a dessert/snack corner with apam balik and cotton candy. One minor letdown: the siput sedut. Got a scoop and found a few shells were empty — not a big deal, but something to note. Still edible, still tolerable. Tip: If you’re visiting only once in a lifetime, do survey all the stations first before picking your meal. So much to choose from! The dining space was massive, and for good reason — the crowd can get intense, especially during school holidays. Luckily, the seating was well managed, and staff were quite responsive despite the rush. There’s also an outdoor seating area for those who prefer a closer-to-nature experience, with fresh air and breeze(since the restaurant sits right at the foot of a mountain). Facilities-wise: toilets and surau are available, and parking is quite accessible (except during peak holiday periods). Heads-up: you’ll need to climb several stairwells to reach the dining area, so it might not be elderly-friendly — but handrails are provided for support. Don’t worry if you can’t finish your food — there’s a takeaway station with containers and rice available (just pay for extra rice at the counter). ”

“ Went here after hearing good reviews. On a Sunday, the place was packed. Long ques but fortunately everything went well & quick. The place have good system in place to handle large crowds. We got masak lemak itik, daging, kerang bakar, asam pedas tetel, masak lemak maman & sayur pucuk paku. The food is good but unfortunately, not great. Its pretty basic & slightly above average. The masak lemak is creamy, spicy, can taste the fresh santan they used. But it could have been spicier, thicker, stronger & bolder flavor. It's a bit too underwhelming for me. The duck/itik is tender, meat fall of the bone while the daging/beef is chewy. The asam pedas tetel taste good but the beef also bit tough. The best dish i had was actually the masak lemak mamak. Absolutely amazing, flavors that packs a punch. Perhaps because the kuah is thicker in this dish. All in all. Pretty good. But nothing special. I perhaps would come again if not for the high price. Reviews mentioned the price being expensive & i have to agree with them. If the portion is bigger, it might be more reasonable. ”
